The Field Marshal (FM) system is a project oriented simulation environment designed to facilitate the design and analysis capabilities of small R&D groups involved in high power electromagnetics research. The FM environment provides a consistent “look and feel” interface to multiple simulation tools and uses a “single” geometry to drive geometry-dependent tools. The system is usable, maintainable and extensible by researchers who are not expert programmers. Existing (legacy) simulation tools can be included in the environment by configuring the FM system to mimic their input files.
